Lewis Hamilton will be eager to become the first driver to win the
Qatar Grand Prix twice when he competes in this weekend's race.

The Mercedes driver was in good form at the Las Vegas Grand Prix on 23 November, the most recent race in the 2024 Formula One World Championship season.
Hamilton started on the 10th grid and managed to pass several cars which saw him finish as the runner-up - accumulating 18 points from the race.
Formula One title ambitions
The 39-year-old is placed in the seventh spot on the World Drivers' Championship standings having accumulated 208 points.
Hamilton will finish in the top six if the seven-time Formula One World Drivers' Championship title winner wins the last two races in the current season.
Why Hamilton could win the 2024 Qatar Grand Prix
The 2000 direct-drive Karting World Cup winner will be returning to the Lusail International Circuit where he won the inaugural Qatar Grand Prix in 2021.
Finishing second at the recent Las Vegas Grand Prix has certainly boosted Hamilton's confidence coming into this weekend's race.
What did he say?
"I’m really happy for the team. It was an exceptional performance by everyone this weekend to claim the 1-2. The car felt strong throughout and I had a really fun and enjoyable race," Hamilton said after finishing second at the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix.
"It felt great to be moving forward throughout as I had a long way to come back from! It is slightly bittersweet as if we had qualified where we should have yesterday, I think I could have won. Nevertheless, I didn’t think I would have been able to finish P2 today before the race so I’m very happy.
"Congratulations to George (Russell) on a great drive to take victory. Congratulations must also go to Max (Verstappen) who claimed the title today. He’s done a fantastic job all year and is a deserving champion."
