Max Verstappen will be eager to become the first driver to win back-to-back
Chinese Grand Prix titles since Lewis Hamilton clinched them in 2014, and 2015.

The Red Bull Racing driver secured a podium spot at the Australian Grand Prix on 16 March, the most recent race in the 2025 Formula One World Championship season.
Verstappen started on the third grid and went on to finish second after an enthralling race as he secured his 113th podium in Formula One.
Formula One title ambitions
The 2014 Masters of F3 champion is placed second in the World Drivers' Championship standings and is currently on 18 points.
Verstappen is seven points behind leader, Lando Norris of McLaren coming into the eagerly anticipated Chinese Grand Prix.
Why Verstappen could win the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix
Verstappen was unlucky not to win the 2025 Australia Grand Prix as he displayed some of his best driving in Formula One and finished second.
Having tasted success in the China Shanghai International Circuit last year, the reigning Formula One champion is a clear favourite to win this weekend's race.
What did he say?
“A difficult race, but at the end, it was fun. “Lando (Norris) had a little moment on entry of six," Verstappen said after the 2025 Australian Grand Prix.
"So he lost a lot of momentum there and that's why I got close. But it's very hard to pass around here. It was fun those last laps, you know, pushing when you're fighting for the win.
"I'm just very happy to bring it home, score good points. This is, let's say, a decent starting point for us.”
