Matchday 31
Alaves v Real Madrid
Estadio de Mendizorrotza
Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain
Sunday, 13 April 2025
Kick-off is at 14h15
Real Madrid will be determined to get their
La Liga title challenge back on track when they make the journey north for a clash with Alaves at the Mendizorrotza on Sunday, April 13.
Los Blancos lost more ground in the race for the championship crown after they suffered a surprise 2-1 defeat at home to Valencia on April 5, which was their second loss in five games.
Carlo Ancelotti's side have dropped four points behind league leaders Barcelona, who failed to fully take advantage of the slip-up from their arch-rivals after being held to a 1-1 draw by Real Betis.

The reverse to Los Che was also the third time in five outings that the defending champions had conceded two goals in a match and they've now shipped 31 from their opening 30 fixtures - only the fifth-best defensive record in the top flight.
The Babazorros gave their survival bid a shot in the arm after edging Girona 1-0 on April 5 to climb out of the relegation zone for the first time since February 2.
Eduardo Coudet's side have now picked up eight points from their last five encounters and that upturn in form has taken them three points clear of Leganes in 18th place albeit having played one game more but with a much better goal difference.
Ancelotti felt Real deseved to come away with all three points against Valencia, but admitted that key decisions went in favour of the opposition.
"Now it's more complicated to fight for the league, but we want to do well until the end because we still have options. We have to keep fighting until the last game," the Italian said.
"We must keep in mind that small details have condemned us. The penalty, the set-piece and the disallowed goal. They are small details that change the dynamic of the match. Valencia did a fantastic job but Madrid deserved to win the game."
He also pointed to the heavy workload his players have had to endure of late, adding: "It's a very demanding schedule and we have to suffer. There are no easy games, we have fought in all of them and we'll try to do our best. Sometimes we're able to and sometimes not."
