2024/25 English Premier League
Matchday 31
Fulham v Liverpool
Craven Cottage
London, England
Sunday, 6 April 2025
Kick-off is at 15h00
Liverpool will look to take a step closer towards securing a record-equalling 20th top-flight title when they journey to West London for a clash with Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday, April 6.
The Reds avoided a potential banana skin as they beat city neighbours Everton 1-0 in a Merseyside derby on April 2 to maintain the 12-point gap to Arsenal at the
Premier League summit.
Arne Slot's side have built up their comfortable lead courtesy of an impressive 26-match unbeaten run, with the last four all ending in victory.
The clean sheet against the Toffees was also their 13th of the season and Diogo Jota's goal was only the second time in 30 games that they'd won by a 1-0 scoreline.
The Cottagers' European challenge is starting to falter after losing three of their last five outings, which has left them in ninth position.
A 2-1 reverse to the Gunners on April 1 saw them drop two points behind Brighton (8th) and a further three adrift of Newcastle, who occupy the final Europa League berth.
Marco Silva's side have only failed to score in three of their nine defeats this term and they found the back of the net twice in a 2-2 draw with the league leaders at Anfield on December 14.
Kenny Tete (knee) is closing in on a return for the hosts, although Reiss Nelson (thigh) and Harry Wilson (ankle) are further off from making their respective comebacks.
Joe Gomez (thigh) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (ankle) remain unavailable for the visitors, while Alisson (concussion) and Conor Bradley (thigh) are rated doubtful.
Silva admitted they were second best on the day against Arsenal, but was pleased to see a response from his players in the second half after Bukayo Saka put the hosts 2-0 up.
"It wasn't a good game from us. Arsenal deserved to win. It was not a good first half and it was difficult when they took control," the Portuguese said.
"Even in the first 10 minutes we looked like we were not aggressive enough, not doing the right moves. We had the ball but not with the attacking aggression we need to have.
"The second goal makes a massive impact, it's clear we have to try to stop that. The reaction after that was good, the subs had impact on the game, but it was a bit too late."

Slot was much happier with the performance of his players on this occasion compared to Goodison Park, where their ball possession wasn't in any threatening areas.
"What I liked much more today than I did at Goodison Park... at Goodison Park we had ball possession but we only had ball possession with our centre-backs and full-backs and today only the first half.
"I think if I say 10 or 15 times that Lucho Diaz was one-v-one against Jake O'Brien, I don't even think I exaggerate, but to have that is one thing and to create a chance is another thing.
"That's why we have to be there so many times, so many times, so many times and you're hoping that one time can then be enough - and it was with Diogo's goal."
