Joel Embiid returned for the visit of the Bulls, having missed the previous four outings with a sprained ankle, and he made a telling impact after registering the seventh triple-double of his career.

Embiid sat out the fourth quarter to rest his ankle and Nurse was happy that the reigning MVP managing to get some minutes under his belt again.
"He was moving great. I think his conditioning was less than that," Nurse said. "But that's OK. I think that game was good for him to kind of recondition himself."
The Knicks endured a patchy run during the holidays, winning just two of their last five games to find themselves outside the play-off places in eighth spot.
Tom Thibodeau's side have an identical winning percentage to the Cleveland Cavaliers (.545) above them in the Eastern Conference and the two teams trail the Indiana Pacers (6th) by .018.
The Atlantic Division franchise arrested a three-game winless sequence when they beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 112-106 on New Year's Day thanks to a strong display from Julius Randle.
The forward posted 39 points, nine rebounds and six turnovers and was ably assisted by OG Anunoby, who impressed on his debut for the Knicks after finishing with 17 points and six rebounds.
Thibodeau praised the contribution of the former Toronto Raptors forward, who arrived in New York on December 30 in a trade which saw RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley move in the opposite direction.
"I thought for the first game, impressive," Thibodeau said. "Just to be ready, and kind of figure it out on the fly. Played smart, played off people well, hustled, moved without the ball, shot good shots, made good plays... very good start."
