Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton will be looking to maintain his good form at the Belgian Grand Grand Prix on August 30.

The British superstar has won this race three times in his career having emerged victorious in 2010, 2015 and 2017.

Hamilton, who is the reigning Formula One world champion, finished second in last year's race in Stavelot and he will be keen to win the race this weekend.

Last year's race was won by Charles Leclerc of Ferrari, while Hamilton's teammate Valtteri Bottas secured a third spot finish.

Hamilton has been near-unstoppable this season having won four of the six races thus far this season including the most recent one which was the Spanish Grand Prix.

As a result, Hamilton is placed at the top of the Drivers' Championship standings having accumulated 132 points from six races.

His teammate Bottas is on position three with 89 points, while Red Bull driver Max Verstappen is placed second having collected 95 points thus far.

Hamilton has explained that he is currently in his highest form as he looks to clinch a record-equalling seventh Formula One world title this season.

“It’s not an out of body experience. I just think [I was] in my highest form I would say," Hamilton said.

"I always like to talk about being our highest selves and each of us have an unlimited capacity and it just felt like I was at a high.

“The zone that I was able to get into and stay in for a long, long, long time was," he continued.

"I’ve just got to evaluate how I got there, because it was evident in the gap that I had, it was evident in how I managed the tyres."

Mercedes are placed at the top of Constructors' standings followed by second-placed Red Bull and third-placed Racing Point-BWT Mercedes.
