Austrian star Dominic Thiem will be hoping to successfully defend his
Vienna Open title this year.
The 27-year-old player is ranked third in the world and it is also his career-high ATP singles ranking.
Thiem is the second-highest ranked Austrian player in history, behind former world number one Thomas Muster.

The Wiener Neustadt-born player has won 17 ATP Tour singles titles, including one Grand Slam title at the 2020 US Open.
Thiem had come back from two sets down to defeat German star Alexander Zverev in the final.

With the win, Thiem became the first male player born in the 1990s to claim a Grand Slam singles title and the first Austrian to win a US Open singles title.
Thiem triumphed over friend Diego Schwartzman to claim the 2019 Vienna Open trophy for the first time, for his 16th career title.

The talented player is hoping to emulate Austrian legend Jürgen Melzer, who remains the last player to defend the Vienna Open title having done so in 2010.
Schwartzman, who eliminated Thiem from the recent 2020 French Open, has praised Thiem ahead of this year's Vienna Open following their clash in France.
"Dominic is one of the best players in the world, won the last Slam, two finals here and we are good friends," Schwartzman said.
"I have a lot of respect for him. This is a very special moment."
