Scottie Scheffler and Hideki Matsuyama will carry their teams' ambitions of winning the 2024 Presidents Cup.
What to know about Scheffler & Matsuyama
Scheffler has won 17 professional tournaments including 13 PGA Tour events and two major championships, both the 2022 and 2024 Masters Tournament.
Matsuyama, on the other hand, is the first-ever Japanese professional golfer to win a men's major golf championship - the 2021 Masters Tournament and he has 19 professional tournaments including 10 PGA Tour events.

Scheffler has been inactive since he won the Tour Championship on 1 September and the American superstar was named 2024 FedEx Cup champion.
While Matsuyama also took a break from professional golf after competing in the Tour Championship where the Ehime-born golfer finished 16th.
Why Scheffler & Matsuyama are key players
Scheffler is arguably the best golfer in the world at the moment having won seven tournaments in the 2024 PGA Tour schedule and the USA Team player is placed at the top of the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR).
Matsuyama, on the other hand, is among the top golfers in the world having won two tournaments in the 2024 PGA Tour schedule and the International Team player is placed seventh on the OWGR.
