Team News

Quotes
“It’s not easy and I think I said it the last time that we will watch closely the Ghana Premier League," Addo said when asked about his Ghana squad selection criteria.
"If I had left one of these 22 players you would ask me why. It’s not about the Ghana Premier League, EPL of French Ligue 1. It’s about the players.
“I don’t care where the player comes from. If I’m convinced that’s it. At the moment I believe these are the players who can help us beat Angola and Niger. Surely some leagues are higher but in general, it doesn’t matter. If the player fits our system then I will call them.”
Head-to-Head
This will be the ninth meeting between Ghana and Angola across all competitions. The Black Stars have won four matches compared to Palancas Negras' one win, while three games ended in a draw.
The last meeting between the two teams ended in a 1-1 draw in the 2023 AFCON qualifier played at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in Luanda in March 2023.
