Leicester City vs Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs slipped to fifth in table this past weekend after their disappointing 1-1 draw at home against West Bromwich Albion in the same week they secured top spot in Group H in the UEFA Champions League by beating Borussia Dortmund with an impressive come-from-behind 2-1 win away from home. Mauricio Pochettino’s men will be looking to get back to winning ways against the 2015/16 Champions, Leicester City. The fearless Foxes are on somewhat of a resurgent run under Claude Puel, having won three of their last six matches in all competitions to lift them up to 13th on the log, despite their last victory coming over a month ago. They will have to be at their brilliant best to stop Harry Kane, who was involved (scoring or assisting) in his 100th Premier League goal against West Brom. The England frontman scored four times in a 6-1 win for Spurs in the corresponding fixture at the King Power Stadium last season.

Watford vs Manchester United

Jose Mourinho has seen his Manchester United side struggle in recent weeks in the absence of midfield maestro Paul Pogba. He returned to action with a goal and an assist against Newcastle United at Old Trafford but could not prevent the Red Devils from stumbling to a 1-0 defeat away to Basel in Switzerland in the Champions League, which leaves them still needing a point from their last group game to guarantee qualification to the knockout rounds. Watford, under Marco Silva, could prove to be a challenging outfit to break down on Tuesday. The Hornets ended a three-match losing run in the league by beating West Ham 2-0 before following that up with a 3-0 victory over Newcastle at the weekend. Marcus Rashford was the only United player to find the net in this fixture last season, in a 3-1 defeat at Vicarage Road as Watford ran riot in the closing stages when goals from Camilo Zuniga and Troy Deeney in the final ten minutes sealed victory for the London side.

Arsenal vs Huddersfield Town

Following that derby day demolition of Spurs the Gunners leap-frogged their North London neighbours into fourth spot in the Premier League with a 1-0 victory at Burnley on Sunday courtesy of Alexis Sanchez’ 92nd minute winner. Huddersfield will be kicking themselves at the fact that they didn’t take anything from a great game against Manchester City as they finally succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to the league leaders after going into the break with a half-time lead. On Wednesday, Arsene Wenger will oversee his first-ever league meeting against Huddersfield and Arsenal’s first against them since 1972. Wenger has however had a taste of what the Terriers have on offer. Alan Lee cancelled out Nicklas Bendtner’s opener before Cesc Fabregas netted from the penalty spot late on to hand Arsenal in 2-1 win in the fourth round of the FA Cup at the Emirates Stadium in January 2011.

Stoke City vs Liverpool

Stoke City will welcome Liverpool to the Britannia Stadium on Wednesday looking for the all-important three points that would put an end to a six-match winless run for the Potters. Stoke gifted bottom side Crystal Palace the victory last time out. After taking the lead at Selhurst Park, Mamadou Sakho scored in stoppage time to seal a 2-1 win for the Eagles, leaving them soaring and Mark Hughes scratching his head with his job now seriously on the line. Jurgen Klopp’s Reds missed a great opportunity to sneak into the top-four after taking the lead against Chelsea at Anfield through former blue, Mohamed Salah, only for Willian to snatch a point for the defending champions. Liverpool won this fixture last season when Phillipe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino scored within two minutes of each other to complete the comeback in a 2-1 turnaround, but Potters fans will fondly remember the 6-1 hiding they handed to them at home in May 2015 in what was Steven Gerrard’s final game for the Reds.
