Charlotte Hornets v Indiana Pacers

‪2021-22 NBA Regular Season

Saturday 20 November 2021

Spectrum Center, Charlotte, North Carolina

Tip-off at 00:00

The Charlotte Hornets will look to string the Indiana Pacers when the teams meet in an NBA Regular Season game at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina on the morning of Saturday 20 November 2021. Tip-off is at 00:00.

The Hornets are hovering around mid-table in the Eastern Conference, with a record to match, and have been unable to assert themselves consistently so far in ‪2021-22. However, they showed their immense potential with an impressive 104-96 win over the New York Knicks this past weekend in which Miles Bridges racked up 24 points.

“Miles is a beautiful player in that he can make 3s off the bounce, catch-and-shoot and can get to the rim," coach James Borrego said. "And when he gets to the rim it's a problem, as you saw. He's hard to stay in front of... that's the mentality I want him to have — to get downhill, get to the rim and open up the court for us."

The Pacers find themselves in the lower regions of the Eastern Conference, though they too showed that they are not a team to be underestimated when they handed the Utah Jazz their first home loss of the season, winning ‪111-100 in Salt Lake City this past weekend.

"We've got a resilient group," said Malcolm Brogdon, who scored 30 points in the game. "We've got a group that's maturing and a group that's getting better and getting tougher. We've got to continue to build on this."

"This is a top-five team in the league. But we brought a great level of fight to the game, and we were able to get it done," Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said.

In head-to-head stats, the Hornets and the Pacers have met in 118 Regular Season games since ‪1988-89, with Indiana claiming 70 wins compared to 48 for Charlotte. The teams’ last Regular Season meeting was in October 2021, with the Hornets winning ‪123-122 at home – thanks to 31 points from LaMelo Ball – for a third successive victory in the rivalry.
