Former Indian fast-bowler and superstar Zaheer Khan opened the inaugural IPL as part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He also featured in the 500th game in the 8th season of the IPL between the Delhi Daredevils and the Rajasthan Royals. Interestingly enough, Khan was on the losing side in both these games.
