Indiana Pacers and Los Angeles Lakers have maintained their great form in the
National Basketball Association (NBA).
Pacers recorded their second win in a row in the competition when they defeated Portland Trail Blazers 106-100 at home on Thursday night.
As a result, Pacers are sitting in sixth place on the Eastern Conference standings with Milwaukee Bucks placed at the top of the log.
Elsewhere, Philadelphia 76ers bounced back to winning ways when they defeated New York Knicks 115-106 in an enthralling match on Thursday night.
The victory left the 76ers, who have won three NBA titles, in the fifth spot on the Eastern Conference standings.
Meanwhile, Lebron James's Los Angeles Lakers remain at the top of the Western Conference standings.
The 16-time NBA champions recorded a 116-86 victory over last season's runners-up, Golden State Warriors, who have now lost eight matches in a row.
Frank Vogel, though, the Lakers head coach, does not think that his side is the best team in the Western Conference.

“I don’t really look at it like that,” Vogel said on Lakers Daily.
“We have a team that is confident that we can beat anybody, but we have a lot of room for improvement.
"The newness of our group still gives me a great deal of concern in terms of what the stretch run is going to look like, and the battles we’re going to face in the playoffs.”
