Suzuki rider Joan Mir will be desperate to register his maiden win of the season at the
German MotoGP on June 20.
The Spanish star narrowly missed out on a podium finish at the recent Catalan MotoGP on June 6 as he finished fourth.
Mir, who is the reigning MotoGP world champion, was promoted to fourth after the race following a penalty for Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo.
The Catalan MotoGP was won by KTM rider Miguel Oliveira and he was followed by the Ducati duo of Johann Zarco and Jack Miller.
Quartararo is still sitting at the top of the 2021 riders' standings as the race for this season's MotoGP world title hots up.
While Zarco and Miller are placed second and third respectively heading into the German MotoGP.
Mir, who is the second Mallorcan after Jorge Lorenzo to win the MotoGP world title, still placed fifth and he will move into the top four positions if he claims a victory in this weekend's race.

Mir believes he “did the steps you have to do when you win” at the Catalan MotoGP and he is angry at his own tyre choice.
"What happened with the tyres is that I saved as much as I could by being very conservative, riding very soft," Mir said.
"I was able to do what I had to do in the first few laps, but then the tyre performance dropped dramatically.
“The first four riders were on hard tyres, the first one with the medium option was me. I'm angry about that, because we could have taken the other option.”
Yamaha are placed at the top of Constructors' Championship standings and they are followed by Ducati and KTM respectively.
