2019 Desert Classic will be held at the PGA West Stadium Course in Palm Desert, California, USA between 17 and 20 January.
This will be the 60th anniversary of the tournament which was formerly known as the CareerBuilder Challenge, Palm Springs Golf Classic, the Bob Hope Desert Classic, the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, and the Humana Challenge
Spanish golfer Jon Rahm is the defending champion having clinched last year's tournament after winning in a four-hole playoff over USA'S Andrew Landry.
Reigning FedExCup champion Justin Rose will return from his holiday break and take part in this year's competition.
Legendary American golfer Phil Mickelson, who has clinched the trophy twice, is expected to challenge Rahm’s title defence.
USA's Arnold Palmer is the most successful golfer in the history of the Desert Classic having won the tournament a record five times.
In 2017, Adam Hadwin shot a 59 in the third round and he is the first Canadian on the PGA Tour to accomplish this and only the third player to shoot 59 on a par-72 course.
The 2019 Desert Classic purse is $5,900,000, while the winner's share is $1,062,000.
