Ghanaian talent to watch in the EPL
Ghana has proven to be fertile grounds for the raising of new football talent, evident by the sheer amount of Ghanaian pro’s in different leagues around the world. Today, we’re going to be taking a closer look at some of the top-performing Black Stars who’ve made names for themselves in the
Premier League and across other top-flight leagues in football.
Thomas Partey
Partey made his move from Atletico Madrid for £45m and has been an impactful midfield player for the Gunners since he joined. Despite numerous close calls with injuries, he remains a key figure in Mikel Arteta’s squad in an Arsenal squad enjoying their best run in years.
Tariqe Fosu
The Brentford winger earned his promotion to the top-flight season by playing 41 games and scoring 4 goals for the Bees before they joined the Premier League. Currently on loan to Rotherham, we’ll have to wait and see whether Tariqe has it in him to shine on the big stage.
Jordan Ayew
The 30-year old Jordan Ayew made 31 appearances and scored 3 goals and 3 assists for Crystal Palace last season and is still looking strong. Coach Patrick Vieria sees him as a team player, impressed by his role on the squad.
Daniel Amartya
The Ghanaian defender will be entering his seventh season with Leicester City this season, having started in 2015/16 when they won the Premier League. He’s often seen as a squad player in the Foxes and made 28 appearances with another 15 so far in 2022/23.
