Tokyo Olympics gold medal winner Xander Schauffele will be searching for his second victory in four years at the
Tournament of Champions.
The American won the event in 2019 by one stroke ahead of Gary Woodland, while he was joint-runner-up to Justin Thomas the following year.

Schauffele enjoyed a fine 2020/21 season, finishing runner-up at the CJ Cup, the Farmers Insurance Open and the Waste Management Phoenix Open, while achieving top-10 finishes on eight occasions for the first time in his career.
The 28-year-old is currently fifth in the Official World Golf Ranking and has recorded four PGA Tour victories.
He closed out 2021 with a 12th-placed finish at the Hero World Challenge, eight strokes behind tournament winner Viktor Hovland.

Speaking to the press at the Hero World Challenge last month, Schauffele feels one of his major strengths is having a positive attitude on the golf course.
"You always look at the top players, even me, you still look at top players and see what they do really well or what they don't do really well and there's certain things that you can or can't control so I feel having a really good attitude is one of those things you can control," he said.
"Everyone's competitive, everyone's fiery, you're going to swear or say stupid things but overall having a generally good attitude about how you carry yourself and handle yourself on the golf course is a good way to go about things and so I try my best to make that one of my strengths."
