Miami Heat and Clevaland Cavaliers registered victories in the
National Basketball Association (NBA) over the weekend.
Former champions Miami returned to winning ways in the competition when they defeated Orlando Magic 113-92 at home on Monday.
As a result, Miami are sitting on second place on the Eastern Conference standings behind Milwaukee Bucks, who were not in action over the weekend.
Cavaliers also bounced back to winning ways when they defeated Detroit Pistons 115-100 in an enthralling match on Sunday night.
While Lebron James's Los Angeles Lakers remained at the top of the Western Conference standings despite losing 108-91 to Philadephia 76ers on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Toronto Raptors maintained their great form in the NBA as they registered their seventh win in a row when they recorded a 110-106 win against San Antonio Spurs on Saturday.
The defeat left the NBA champions placed third on the Eastern Conference standings.
Raptors head coach Nick Nurse reflected on their win as the NBA mourned the death of Los Angeles legend Kobe Bryant.

“It was a rough, really rough locker room, before the game," Nurse said.
'Just a lot of guys that it hit pretty close to home and obviously one of the biggest stars and in the game, right?.
"And you know, you don’t know what to say. I’ve never gone through anything like that," he continued.
"It’s not something you get — and thank god you don’t have to go through stuff like this very often — but we just kind of said let’s go and see what happens."
