Rory McIlroy will be looking to emulate Jesper Parnevik and Sandy Lyle at the
2021 Waste Management Phoenix Open trophy in Arizona, USA.
Swedish star Jesper Parnevik and Scottish legend Sandy Lyle remain the only European golfers to have won this tournament.
Lyle was the first European player to lift the trophy in 1988 and Parnevik clinched it 10 years later.
McIlroy, who hails from Northern Ireland, will be keen to become the third European golfer to lift the Phoenix Open.

The 31-year-old is a former world number one in the Official World Golf Ranking, having spent over 100 weeks in that position during his career.
McIlroy is also a four-time major champion, winning the U.S Open, PGA Championship, Open Championship, and PGA Championship.
However, the last time McIlroy won a competition was in November 2019 when he clinched the WGC-HSBC Champions title.
In 2019, McIlroy won the PGA Tour Player of the Year award for the third time (2012, 2014).
The County Down-born star then gained the world number one ranking from Brooks Koepka in February 2020.

McIlroy and his teammate Dustin Johnson won a charity skins game played on nearest-the-pin shot rule in May 2020 and the duo ended up winning £1.53 million for coronavirus relief funds.
The two-time PGA Tour leading money winner is looking forward to competing at the Waste Management Phoenix Open and end his trophy drought.
"I’ll try again to see if I can finally get the job done. A win would be a great way to start the year. I actually saw something the other day," McIlroy said.
"Of the 13 times I've played the first tournament of a season in my pro career, I've had 11 top-fives. The fact that there is no win in there is a little surprising I guess.
"I feel like every year is a fresh start, and I like that feeling.”
