VILLARREAL (1) VS (0) SPORTING LISBON – ESTADIO DE LA CERAMICA
The Yellow Submarines recorded an impressive 3-0 win over Sevilla in La Liga on Sunday, stretching their unbeaten run to four matches in the process. Alfonso Pedraza was on target on the weekend, adding to the winner that he scored in Portugal when these two teams faced in the first-leg last week.
The Leoes head into this fixture off the back of a hugely important 3-0 win over bitter rivals Braga in the Primera Liga on Sunday – their second successive victory in the division. Bas Dost bagged a brace in that weekend’s win taking his tally to 21 goals for the season in all competitions.
VALENCIA (2) VS (0) CELTIC – MESTALLA STADIUM
Los Che’s 2-0 victory over Scottish giants Celtic last week was the Spanish outfit’s sole success from their last five matches in all competitions, snapping a run of three successive draws before a drab goalless stalemate at home to Espanyol on Sunday summed up their season thus far – Valenica have drawn 14 of their 24 La Liga matches as they sit currently sit 9th on the table.
Brendan Rodgers side were left ruing their missed chances despite having nearly 65% possession during last Thursday’s meeting. The Hoops, who made the round of 32 after finishing third in their Champions League group, have now failed to progress past the group stages of Europe’s premier club competition or past this stage of the Europa League since reaching the knockout phase of the Champions League back in 2012/13.
ARSENAL (0) VS (1) BATE BORISOV – THE EMIRATES STADIUM
The Gunners were left stunned by their Belarusian opposition as they succumbed to a shock 1-0 defeat in Borisov. Unai Emery will be without striker Alexandre Lacazette who was sent off in the first-leg while Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey and Sokratis are all expected to be available having missed last weeks trip.

Hleb made a total of 130 appearances in all competitions for the North-London outfit, spanned across three seasons, scoring 10 goals and appearing in the UEFA Champions League final defeat against Barcelona in 2006. Bate Borisovs’s last visit to the Emirates ended in a humbling 6-0 defeat.
CHELSEA (2) VS (1) MALMO – STAMFORD BRIDGE
Across the English capital Chelsea head into their home clash with Malmo holding a narrow 2-1 advantage from the first leg courtesy of goals from Ross Barkley and Olivier Giroud either side of half-time. They were dumped out of the FA Cup by Manchester United on Monday and face a Carabao Cup final date with Manchester City on Sunday.
Di Blae bounced back from that defeat to the Blues by beating Degerfors 3-2 in a thrilling Svenska Cupen group-stage clash. Uwe Rosler’s side will be quietly confident of causing an upset on Thursday which would undoubtedly heap the ever-increasing pressure on Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri who has seen his side concede a staggering 13 goals in their last 5 matches.
