Meanwhile, Barcelona succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to Las Palmas at home on 30 November and they are winless in their last three matches in La Liga.
Barca are also winless in their last two away matches in this competition having registered one draw and one defeat on the road.
Team News
Betis have no suspension concerns, but Marc Roca, Hector Bellerin, Pablo Fornals, Joao Cardoso, Noble Mendy and William Carvalho are currently on the club's injury list.
On the other hand, Barcelona also don't have any suspension worries, but Ansu Fati, Andreas Christensen, Marc ter Stegen and Marc Bernal are currently injured.
Quotes
"I don't think there is a lack of confidence in the players. Players alone can't win games. It's always about the team," Barcelona manager Hansi Flick said after his side's defeat to Las Palmas.
"We need to have good connections in defence and in attack, and today we didn't have them. I believe in the players. I have confidence in them, but things are as they are. When I started here, I told them there would be no excuses.
"It's normal that some players, when they come back from injury, are not at the highest level. But if we play as a team, we should be able to beat any team, but if some players are disconnected, it doesn't go well."
Head-to-Head
Barcelona secured a 4-2 win over Betis in their last meeting in La Liga in a match played at the Estadio Benito Villamarín on 21 January.
Therefore, Barca are enjoying a five-match unbeaten run in the league against Los Verdiblancos having registered five successive wins.
