The Sacramento Kings will look to hang tough against the Miami Heat for an

The Kings have very much been a mid-table team in the Western Conference, though last week saw them claim a 119-105 home win over the Wizards to boost their confidence. De'Aaron Fox scored 28 points to inspire a victory for Sacramento which arrived despite missing interim coach Alvin Gentry and players Marvin Bagley III and Terence Davis.

Assistant Doug Christie led the team in place of Gentry. "They made it very enjoyable for me," Christie said. "(Washington) had us down, and for us to come back and fight the way we did … if it was easy everybody would do it, but it's not.”
The Heat, meanwhile, have established themselves as one of the outside contenders in the East, as they jostle with the likes of the Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers to become the ‘nearest chasers’ of the Brooklyn Nets. This past weekend they defeated Florida rivals the Orlando Magic 115-105 away from home thanks to a career-best 32 points from Max Strus.

"That's what we do; we've got shooters and we've got a lot of guys who put in time in the gym and work on it," said Strus of Miami’s 3-pointer accuracy. "We're going to keep playing that way if shots are falling. We're making them, so why not keep shooting them?"
In head-to-head stats, the Kings and the Heat have met in 65 Regular Season games since 1988-89, with Miami claiming 43 wins compared to 22 for Sacramento. The teams’ last Regular Season meeting was in February 2021, with the Heat winning 118-110 away thanks to 27 points off the bench from Tyler Herro.
