Monster Energy Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo will be targeting his eighth podium of the season at the
Thailand Grand Prix on Sunday, October 2.
The Frenchman is primed to defend his MtoGP World Championship title as he leads Ducati Lenovo Team's Francesco Bagnaia by 18 points with four races left in 2022.

However, Quartararo has finished on the podium just once in the last six rounds, claiming P2 in the Austrian Grand Prix on August 21, and is seeking his first victory since the German Grand Prix.
The 23-year-old has raced on the Buriram International Circuit only once in the premium class, which came in his rookie year in 2019 when he came second.

Quartararo admitted after the Japanese Grand Prix that he isn't enjoying his time on the underpowered Yamaha this year, having qualified in the front row just four times and taking pole position on one occasion.
"You have to think about the future, and that's the next race because we won't be back in Japan until next year, and then we'll have a better bike," he said.
"I haven't enjoyed riding a bike in a race for a long time. If you don't go out in the front row, [you can wave] bye-bye [to your chances of winning]."
