The draw extended the Bats' winless run to three matches in this competition having registered two successive defeats and one draw.
Valencia lost to Sevilla in their last game on the road and the defeat ended the Bats' three-match unbeaten run as the visitors.

"It wasn't easy, after two defeats. Now we have more confidence. It isn't easy to play against Athletic," Valencia goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen said after their clash with Bilbao.
"But in the end getting a point in this way is good. I've only played in one of our games. It's not easy, but the calendar is the same for every team. There's not much time.
"But we know this and we keep going. It's not easy to play away against Cadiz, but with this team we will try to win there."
The last meeting between Cadiz and Valencia in a league match was on 04 April 2021.
Cadiz claimed an impressive 2-1 victory over former La Liga champions Valencia in a match which was played at Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla.
