Chelsea will square off with Liverpool in an English Premier League game at the Stamford Bridge Stadium on Saturday.
The Blues were held to a goalless draw by West Ham United in their previous league game which was played at the London Stadium last weekend.
The draw ended Chelsea's four-match winning streak in the league having defeated Huddersfield Town, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Cardiff City.
The six-time English champions will look to return to winning ways when they take on an in-form Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Liverpool secured a 3-0 victory over Southampton in their previous league game which was played at the Anfield Stadium last weekend.
The victory extended the Reds' winning run in the league to seven matches including last season's matches in the competition.
The 18-time English champions will be looking to maintain their perfect start to the new campaign.
The last time Chelsea and Liverpool clashed in a league game was on the 6th of May 2018.
The Blues edged out the Reds 1-0 at the Stamford Bridge.
