Portugal will target rivals Spain as they get their Group B assignment of the 2018 FIFA World Cup underway on Friday, June 15 at Olimpiyskiy Stadion Fisht in Sochi.
 


Portugal are looking to get back to winning ways as they open their 2018 World Cup against one of the most competitive sides in word football.
 
After beating Algeria and drawing twice to Belgium and Tunisia, the Portuguese will hope to start well against the 2010 champions.
 
Apart from their recent results, coach Fernando Santos will call for continuity from his troops, two years after lifting the 2016 EURO trophy.
 


Looking at the La Roja, the Spanish side has its own troubles off the field of play as they get ready to get the ball rolling on Friday.
 
Coach Julen Lopetegui was fired by the country after taking the coaching role at Real Madrid. Consequently, legend Fernando Hierro has been roped in.
 
After lifting the Jules Rimet trophy in South Africa in 2010, Spain failed to do the job in Brazil four years ago as they exited the showpiece in the group stages.
