Empoli FC will face off with the defending champions Inter Milan in an Italian
Serie A match at the Stadio Carlo Castellani on October 27.
The Blues secured a 4-2 win over Salernitania away in their previous league match which was played on October 23.
The victory ended Empoli's two-match winless run in this competition having recorded two consecutive defeats.

The Blues have lost four of their last five home matches in Serie A, while the other game ended in a defeat at the Stadio Carlo Castellani.
“We could’ve scored more goals in the first half. It’s true we suffered after half-time," Empoli manager Aurelio Andreazzoli reacted to their win over Salernitana.
"But it was unthinkable to avoid that against a Salernitana side pushed on by their fans. Every game teaches us to take nothing for granted. We are the 10th youngest squad in Europe, so we need to give these players time to mature," he added.
"We paid a heavy price for naïve errors against Atalanta and will certainly learn from this game, regardless of the result.”

Meanwhile, Inter were held to a 1-1 draw by Juventus FC at home in their previous league match which was played on October 24.
As a result, the Big Grass Snake is winless in their last two matches in this competition having registered one defeat and one draw.
However, Inter lost to Lazio in their last match on the road in Serie A and the defeat ended their four-match unbeaten run as the visitors.
The last meeting between Empoli and Inter in a league game was on 26 May 2019.
Inter ran out 3-1 winners over Inter in a match that was played at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza which is nicknamed San Siro.
