Brighton & Hove Albion's mettle will be tested when defending champions Manchester City head to Amex Stadium for a 2021/22

The Seagulls have made a solid start to the campaign and will go into matchday nine in fourth place on the league standings and unbeaten in their last five matches, following a 0-0 draw at Norwich City last time out.
But they will face a different challenge on Saturday against a City side yet to hit full tilt.
The Cityzens haven't lost in seven matches since going down to Tottenham Hotspur on the opening weekend of the campaign and climbed up to third following a 2-0 win over Burnley.
“We know how tough it is to play against Burnley, they play very direct and they are a very physical side," City winger Bernardo Silva said in the aftermath. "When we are attacking and teams defend so deep we have to put players in the box, we need numbers.
“We should’ve scored a few more goals in the first half, second half we controlled the game more. We should’ve scored a bit earlier but it's three very important points and on to the next one. “

Brighton claimed a famous 3-2 comeback win over a 10-man City side in the corresponding fixture last season. The Cityzens won 1-0 at Etihad Stadium for a share of the spoils. Phil Foden scored in both matches.
