The Gunners were on the wrong end of a 3-0 loss to Aston Villa before the international break with defeat coming as a bitter blow following their victory away to Manchester United the week prior.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta took full responsibility for the result and now faces the tough task of getting his team back on track, as they aim to close the six-point gap between themselves and league leaders Leicester City.
"I don't feel like we were the team we're supposed to be, we performed below our standards, our ability and I didn't see the spirit for the first time that I have seen every day in training and every day when we compete," Arteta told arsenal.com following their loss to Villa.
"This is totally my fault, it is why I am here, I am responsible for that, to make sure the team performs and competes at the highest level every three days. Today I haven't done that, so obviously it is my fault.
"It is very tough to find the reasons. I cannot say I have seen a change or this week that we have trained a different way. I would be lying if I said that. But obviously there was something there today that [Villa] wanted much more than us, and they showed it."
Leeds themselves are going through a tough patch having entered November's international break on the back of successive 4-1 defeats to Leicester City and Crystal Palace respectively.
As a result, last season's Championship winners head into this weekend's round of fixtures in 15th spot on the league standings, but a mere two points behind Arsenal on what is a congested table.

This will be the first Premier League meeting between the two clubs at Elland Road since a 4-1 Gunners victory at the venue in 2003.
