2019/20 Premier League
Round 12
8-10 November 2019
Manchester United will chase three
Premier League points when they host Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford on Sunday 10 November 2019, kick-off at 147:00. The clash is one of 10 in the 12
th round of England’s top flight this coming weekend.
United suffered a fourth league defeat of the season when they were beaten 1-0 at Bournemouth last weekend, with the Red Devils unable to recover from Joshua King’s goal late in the first half.
The team appeared to be on an upward trajectory with recent results, but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits that this defeat is a step backward.
"You are always very down when you lose and considering the form we were in, we were hoping to take the three points," Solskjaer explained. "It is a step back for us today, but we need to shake it off and go again.”
By contrast, Brighton secured an important victory this past weekend when they defeated Norwich City 2-0 at home, courtesy of goals from Leandro Trossard and Shane Duffy.

“I’m delighted for the three points, delighted for the players. It was a difficult match against a team that attacks well,” said manager Graham Potter.
“We attacked quite well over the game but in the end you still need to score, and that’s why it’s nice to have Leo (Trossard) come on, someone that can make a difference in the final third and the game becomes a bit more stretched.”
In head-to-head stats, Man United and Brighton have met in 13 previous matches. The Red Devils have claimed eight wins compared to three for the Seagulls, while two games have been drawn.
The teams’ Premier League meeting last season produced two home wins: Brighton claimed a 2-1 win at the AmEx Stadium in August 2018, while the return game at Old Trafford in January 2019 ended 2-1 in favour of United.
