2024 Canadian Open is poised to take place in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada between 30 May and 2 June.
What to know about the tournament
The event was first played 120 years ago in 1904, and has been held annually since then, except for during World War I, World War II and the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is the third oldest continuously running tournament on the PGA Tour, after The Open Championship and the U.S. Open, and it organised by Golf Canada.

In total, 156 players will compete at the storied Hamilton Golf and Country Club with the tournament as known as RBC Canadian Open for sponsorship reasons.
It will be the first opportunity for the stars of the PGA Tour to experience the newly renovated Harry Colt design led by Martin Ebert.
Favourites
Defending champion Nick Taylor and two-time winner Rory McIlroy will headline the 2024 Canadian Open field.
International stars Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry, Tom Kim, Adam Scott, Sahith Theegala, Sam Burns and Cameron Young will be part of the field.
Jhonattan Vegas (2017, 2016), Brandt Snedeker (2013) and Chez Reavie (2008) are the other three past Canadian Open champions set to compete.
\What Is At Stake
The 2024 Canadian Open purse is set for $9,4 million, with the winner receiving $1,69 million and 500 FedEx Cup points.
The champion will also receive a trophy which is made of Canadian maple with silver bands to accommodate the engraved names.
