2023 Charles Schwab Challenge title.

Scheffler finished as a runner-up in last year's Charles Schwab Challenge with Sam Burns winning the tournament.
The 26-year-old, who is based in Texas, will be keen to redeem himself by winning this year's event which would consolidate his spot at the top of OWGR.

“Do I become No. 1 again,” Scheffler asked when told that he would after Sunday’s round at the recent PGA Championship.
“That's great. I mean, it's just an algorithm. It's nice, but I really don't care. I don't play for the world ranking. I play to come out here and compete.
"Right now I'm a little sad that I wasn't able to get the tournament done, but I'm proud of how I fought, I'm proud of how I played the back nine today to give myself a chance," he added.
"I got beat by somebody that played better this week, and tip of the cap to Brooks.”
