Athletic Bilbao will square off with Valencia CF in a
Spanish La Liga match at the San Mames Barria on May 7.
The Lions secured an impressive 2-0 win over Atletico Madrid in their previous league game which was played on April 30.
Therefore, Bilbao are undefeated in their last two matches in this competition having recorded two successive victories.

The win over Atletico saw the Lions return to winning ways at home in La Liga as Celta Vigo had ended their five-match unbeaten run at the San Mames Barria.
“This victory keeps us in the fight for Europe. Let’s see if we can win the next game together with our fans," Marcelino said after their win over Atletico.
"I’m very happy with my players. They put in an extraordinary performance. The important thing is the next match and getting a lot of points. Then we’ll see what that total will give us.
“That was a great atmosphere. The whole place was rocking. Another magic night here. I now have four nights here I’ll never forget.”

Meanwhile, Valencia were held to a 1-1 draw by UD Levante at home in their previous league encounter which was played on April 20.
The draw extended the Bats' winless run to five matches in this competition having recorded two successive defeats and three draws.
Valencia are also winless in their last two matches on the road in La Liga having registered one draw and one defeat as the visitors.
The last meeting between Bilbao and Valencia in a league match was on 25 September 2021.
The encounter which was played at the 1982 FIFA World Cup venue, Estadio de Mestalla ended in a 1-1 draw.
