What to know about Finau
The American star has won nine professional tournaments and he has also impressively secured a top-five finish in all four golf major championships.
Finau, who turned professional in 2007 as a 17-year-old, has won six PGA Tour tournaments and also clinched the 2014 Web.com Tour event, Stonebrae Classic.

The 34-year-old took part in the Valspar Championship and he missed the cut in what was the most recent event on the 2024 PGA Tour calendar.
Nicknamed Big Tone, Finau is currently placed 30th on the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) and his best OWGR is ninth.
Why Finau is among the favourites
Big Tone will look to hang onto his crown as he won in 2022 as he clinched the Houston Open title by four strokes ahead of Tyson Alexander.
Finau, who led the field in driving accuracy (39-of-52) and birdies with 22 at the last Houston Open, has what it takes to retain the title this weekend.

“I was always hopeful that I could go on special runs, and I think we’re starting to see that now,” Finau said after winning the 2022 Houston Open.
“I’m starting to put together a full package game, which is really exciting for me. That’s all you can do is work hard, and I’ve worked extremely hard on parts of the game that I know I have to.
