The Gunners have struggled for consistency this season and that was highlighted as they followed a 3-1 win at Leicester City with a 1-1 draw against Burnley.
Arsenal just can't seem to build momentum and qualification for European football next season is becoming increasingly difficult for Mikel Arteta and his troops.
"I'm really disappointed with the result, but the reality is that we generated so many big chances but only scored one goal," Arteta told Arsenal Media following their draw at Turf Moor.
"When you do that and then you give a goal to the opponent like we did, then you don't get the referee's decision when it's clear and obvious, then it becomes really difficult to win a football match.
"We started well and then that's when you have to put the game away and it has to be two or three-nil and the game is over."
In contrast, Spurs have rekindled their early season form and beat Crystal Palace 4-1 for a third straight win in the league. Victory moved them within two points of fourth and seven clear of Arsenal.
"I was happy with the attitude, the feeling and naughty smile of scoring 100 goals in the season and we are a defensive team," said Spurs manager Jose Mourinho.
"It was a good week for us. Three matches, nine points, no injuries and everyone is coming back. We are in a positive moment.
"Next week we have a crucial match in the Europa League (against Dinamo Zagreb) and a derby against Arsenal."
