2019/20 Premier League
Round 29
7-9 March 2020
Leicester City will chase another three key points in their campaign when they host Aston Villa at the King Power Stadium on Monday 9 March 2020, kick-off at 20:00. The match is one of 10 spread from 7 to 9 March for the 29
th round of the
2019/20 Premier League season.
Leicester come into the clash on the back of a 1-0 loss at Norwich City this past weekend, a result which means they have gone five matches without a win across all competitions.
“If you don’t win it is important you don’t lose it and we didn’t track our runners. It was a fantastic strike, through bodies into the corner, but you shouldn’t lose a game like that,” said manager Brendan Rodgers. “We are still in a great position with 10 games to go but we have to get back to that way we were for large parts of the season.”

Villa, meanwhile, were last in Premier League action on February 16 when they lost 3-2 at home to Tottenham Hotspur. This past weekend they succumbed at the hands of Manchester City in the League Cup final.
"I've felt that we've went toe to toe with every team. With every team we try to approach the game to win,” said manager Dean Smith. "We've given too many big chances away in those games and in the Championship and not get punished. The Premier League punishes you. The difference is in both boxes. We've learned that the concentration, the focus, it has to be there for the full 90 minutes.”
In head-to-head stats, Leicester and Villa have met in 101 previous matches. The Foxes have claimed 42 wins compared to 34 for the Lions, while 25 games have been drawn.
When the teams met in the Premier League earlier this season, at Villa Park in December 2019, Leicester claimed a 4-1 away win thanks to goals from Jamie Vardy (two), Kelechi Iheanacho and Jonny Evans.
