Lando Norris will be determined to pile pressure on his Formula One world title rival Max Verstappen by winning the Austrian Grand Prix title.

The McLaren driver came very close to winning the most recent event in the 2024 Formula One campaign which was the Spanish Grand Prix on 23 June.
Norris started on the first grid, but he slipped up and finished second which saw him collect 19 points from the event staged in Barcelona.
Formula One title ambitions
The Bristol-born racing driver is now placed second in the World Drivers' Championship standings having accumulated 150 points.
Norris is 69 points behind the leader Verstappen of Red Bull Racing and the former is mounting a serious challenge for the Formula One world title.
Why Norris could win the 2024 Austrian Grand Prix
Norris has been in good form in the last few months - securing runners-up finishes in three of his last four races.
Having finished second at the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix, the 2023 Autosport British Competition Driver of the Year will be keen to go one step further and secure a win in Austria.
What did he say?
“A frustrating start, simple as that. I lost a little bit to Max, he wasn’t completely alongside but with George on the outside, I didn’t have room to manoeuvre and that had me over," Norris said after the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix.
"It’s disappointing, but there are still a lot of positives to take away from Barcelona. We come away with a lot of points and the car was amazing today, I think we were the quickest out there, so a big thanks to the entire team for their efforts throughout the weekend.
“We’re now focusing on Austria and Silverstone, two of my favourite circuits and tracks where we have a good record, so I’m excited. We’re in a good spot and doing well each week, I just need to tidy up a few little bits in the upcoming races.”
