Manchester City will be looking to lift the Community Shield for the third time in five years when they do battle with Liverpool at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, July 30.
Pep Guardiola's side have contested the traditional curtain-raiser to the new season on three occasions in the last four years and they beat the Reds on penalties to win the 2019 edition.
The Citizens also triumphed 2-0 over Chelsea the previous year, although they lost 1-0 to Leicester 12 months ago to be denied a seventh title.

They will now attempt to go level with Tottenham on the all-time winners' list, but remain some way off the Merseysiders' tally of 15 wins in the annual contest between the Premier League champions and the FA Cup winners.
City haven't come out on top against Liverpool since February 2021 when they emerged 4-1 victors at Anfield, with both league encounters between the two teams finishing 2-2 last term.
Guardiola has been without three key players for the pre-season tour in the United States, with Phil Foden, Ilkay Gundogan and John Stones having linked up with the Elite Development Squad in Croatia to build up their fitness.
The Spaniard has been in contact with EDS boss Brian Barry-Murphy on a daily basis to get updates on the trio and the feedback he received was encouraging.
"They trained really well," Guardiola said. "I have an update every day with Brian, the manager of the EDS.
"Knowing John, Ilkay and Phil, they are like this. Tomorrow they come back to Manchester like us and on Tuesday they will start training with us ahead of the Community Shield."
