The
2022 Genesis Scottish Open is set to take place at the Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland between 7 and 10 July.
Established in 1972, the event is one of five tournaments that are part of the Rolex Series, which identifies it as one of the European Tour's premier events.
Beginning in 2022, the competition will be co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour and title sponsored by Genesis which is the luxury vehicle division of the South Korean vehicle manufacturer Hyundai.

Min Woo Lee is the defending champion having won the 2021 Scottish Open after outsmarting Thomas Detry and Matt Fitzpatrick in the playoff round.
This year one of the strongest fields in the history of the Scottish Open is assembling as DP World Tour and PGA Tour stars go head to head with the event co-sanctioned for the first time.
The 156-player field is headlined by the likes of Woo Lee, Jon Rahm, Collin Morikawa, Scottie Scheffler, Sam Burns, Billy Horschell, Danny Willett, Francesco Molinari, and Justin Thomas.
The field will be playing for an $8 million purse, with 31 of the top 50 in the Official World Golf Rankings among the top contenders.

“I enjoyed the week at the Scottish Open last year," Scheffler, who is sitting at the top of the Official World Golf Rankings, said.
"And I’m looking forward to getting back to the Renaissance Club in July for the start of an exciting two weeks in Scotland.
“I had heard a lot about the event and the Rolex Series before I played for the first time, and it lived up to it. A lot has happened to me since then.
"And I’m hoping to keep that good feeling going over the summer."
Ian Woosnam is the most decorated golfer in the history of the Scottish Open having won it a record three times.
