19–22 January 2023
Former champion Jon Rahm will be targeting his second title of 2023 at
The American Express, which gets underway on Thursday, January 19.
The Spaniard claimed the eighth PGA Tour victory of his career when he beat Collin Morikawa by two strokes to win the Sentry Tournament of Champions earlier this month.

Rahm has finished in the top 10 in each of the three PGA Tour events he's participated in this season as he continues to build on a fine 2021/22 campaign.
The 28-year-old came out on top at the Mexico Open, having finished second at the Sentry Tournament of Champions and third at the Farmers Insurance Open earlier in 2022.
However, Rahm still finds himself fourth in the world rankings despite those successes and has questioned how the new system works.
"Since the playoffs... I've won three times and I don't even get close to [Patrick Cantlay] so I'm trying to understand what's going on," he told Sky Sports after his triumph in Kapalua, Hawaii.
"Had they not changed the world ranking points I would have been pretty damn close [to world No. 1] right now. But in my mind, I feel like since August I've been the best player in the world."
Last five American Express winners
2022 - Hudson Swafford (USA)
2021 - Kim Si-Woo (KOR)
2020 - Andrew Landry (USA)
2019 - Adam Long (USA)
2018 - Jon Rahm (ESP)
