2022/23 English Premier League
Matchday 19
Brentford v Liverpool
Gtech Community Stadium
London, England
Monday, 2 January 2023
Kick-off is at 17h30
Brentford will be looking to arrest a winless streak against Liverpool dating back to 1938 when they clash at the Gtech Community Stadium on Monday, January 2.
The Bees have failed to beat the Reds in their last nine matches across all competitions and they've only come out on top three times in 17 meetings.
All three victories came in the old First Division, with the west Londoners last coming out on top 84 years ago when they won 2-1 at Griffin Park on 19 November 1938.
Thomas Frank's side picked up a point on their return to Premier League action after the World Cup break as they held Tottenham to a 2-2 draw on Boxing Day.

Vitaly Janelt (15') and Ivan Toney (54') gave the hosts a 2-0 lead but Spurs hit back through Harry Kane (65') and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (71') to earn a share of the spoils.
Frank was pleased with the performance against their city rivals, although he felt the Bees should have claimed maximum points given their dominance in the opening hour.
"We wanted three points and, over the 90 minutes, I think we should have won," he said. "Until the 65th minute when Kane scored, there was one team, us, controlling, creating chances and being a threat.
"After that goal, the momentum changed a bit. We still had a big chance that Bryan Mbeumo put over the bar, then they equalised for 2-2 and after that they put a lot of pressure on us.
"Overall, I'm very happy with the performance. We're building a fortress here at the Gtech."
The Merseysiders continued to make ground on the top four after they ran out 3-1 victors over Aston Villa at Villa Park on December 26.
Jurgen Klopp's team got off to a flying start when Mohamed Salah opened the scoring on five minutes and Virgil van Dijk doubled their lead in the 37th minute before Ollie Watkins (59') pulled one back in the second half but Stefan Bajcetic sealed the win nine minutes from time.

Klopp concedes they are likely out of the title race already, however, he believes Champions League qualification is still possible if Liverpool can put a good run together.
"Look, we have to be the pain in the backside for everybody. That's how it is. Of course, we have to chase," he said.
"We are not in the best position, there's [a] difference between us and other teams, we all know that. The first two [or] three are maybe too far away, I don't know, if they win all the games then we have no chance.
"But we have teams, we are there, they are in the Champions League spots at the moment. We have to do our part, we have to do our part and that means winning football games and we will see how close we can get."
