2021/22 Spanish La Liga
Matchday 22
Sevilla v Celta Vigo
Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan
Seville, Spain
Saturday, 22 January 2022
Kick-off is at 17h30
Sevilla will be seeking their fourth successive
La Liga win against Celta Vigo when they clash at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on January 22.
Los Nervionenses did the league double over Celta last season and won the reverse fixture 1-0 at Balaidos on October 17.
The Galicians have emerged the victors just three times in their last 10 meetings, most recently triumphing 2-1 at home in February 2020.
The two clubs have an identical record in overall head-to-head ties, with 17 wins each. They have shared the spoils on seven occasions.

Julen Lopetegui's side were knocked out of the Copa del Rey in the round of 16 by arch-rivals Real Betis on January 16 and the head coach admits the early cup exit left a bitter taste in the mouth, although it affords them the opportunity to focus solely on the league.
"We had chances to cause them problems but we lacked precision in the final pass. With barely any chances they scored the second," Lopetegui told the press after the 2-1 defeat.
"Today is a sad day, a bitter pill to swallow but we have to digest it and look ahead to the next La Liga game."

Los Celestes were not in action last weekend after exiting the Copa del Rey in the round of 32 at the hands of third-tier outfit Atletico Baleares.
Celta head coach Eduardo Coudet paid the price for rotating his squad and admitted some players weren't 100% match fit.
"It's not an excuse but we felt that several players lacked the rhythm given the situation from which they're coming from," Coudet was quoted as saying by Marca.
"We're trying to regulate the minutes [doled out to the squad] but we should have handled the game better.
"Obviously we wanted to pass [to the next round]. But we're aware of the difficulties we've had with respect to others.
"We didn't arrive into this game with everyone at 100% and we have to regulate the load our players take on."
