Serie A champions AS Roma are set to face off with Inter Milan at the Stadio Olimpico on January 10.
This will be the 73rd match between the two giants of Italian football across all competitions since 1993. Inter hold the edge in this fixture as they have registered 28 victories compared to Roma's 20 wins, while 24 games ended in a draw.
Their last meeting in the league was on 19 July 2020 and the encounter ended in a 2-2 draw at the Stadio Olimpico.
Elsewhere on the same day, defending champions Juventus FC will play host to US Sassuolo Calcio at the Allianz Stadium.
The two teams will be meeting for the 15th time across all competitions since 2013 when Sassuolo were promoted to the top-flight league for the first time.

Juventus have dominated this fixture - recording 10 wins compared to Sassuolo's one victory, while three games ended in a draw.
The last meeting between the two teams in the league was on 15 July 2020 and the game ended in a 3-3 draw at the MAPEI Stadium.
Cristiano Ronaldo, the Juventus winger, hopes his side will come back stronger in the new year after ending 2020 with a defeat to Fiorentina.
"I hope this short stoppage may help us to come back stronger and more united than ever," Ronaldo said.
"Because the season is still far from over and in the end, we believe that we will, once again, celebrate with our fans. Believe in us, trust our team as much as we trust you, and we will deliver."

Current Serie A log leaders, AC Milan, will lock horns with Torino FC at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on January 9.
This will be the 38th competitive meeting between two former Italian champions since 1993.
Milan hold the upper hand having registered 18 victories compared to Torino's three wins, while 16 matches ended in a draw.
Their last match in the league was on 17 February 2020 and Milan emerged 1-0 winners in a game which took place at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
