The Gunners came from behind to beat Southampton 3-1 on Tuesday evening. Victory, a fifth in six matches, moved the North London club up to eighth place and closer to the Uefa Champions League spots as they continue to recover from a dismal start to the campaign.
Bukayo Saka's form has been key to the Gunners' turnaround in fortunes. The England international has scored four goals in the club's last six Premier League matches and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was full of praise for the 19-year-old following their win at St Mary's Stadium.
"He's really humble, respectful and at the same time has that character to demand the ball, to make decisions that are not very usual for his age," Arteta told reporters. "We need that leadership and he's gaining that with his attitude.
"He's all the time asking to train more to improve in areas that he can do better. That was certainly one, producing the final bit in the box to score or assist.
"If he's able to do that with the intelligence that he has, with the work rate that he shows on the pitch and with the capacity that he has to understand the game in different positions, then he becomes a really different player."
United head into matches against Sheffield United and Arsenal this week on a 13-game unbeaten run in the league which has taken them to the summit of the standings. But despite their superb run of form, Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has talked down his team's chances of a first top-flight crown in eight years.
"It is always going to be talked about when you are halfway through and top of the league but we are not thinking about this," Solskjaer told BT Sport.
"We just have to go one game at a time. It is such an unpredictable season."

A solitary strike from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang led Arsenal to a 1-0 win over United at Old Trafford earlier this season. United haven't lost since. The Gunners beat their rivals 2-0 at Emirates Stadium last season on the back of first-half goals from Nicolas Pepe and Sokratis.
