Espanyol will face off with FC Barcelona in the 2019/20 Spanish La Liga match at RCDE Stadium on Saturday.
The Magical were beaten 2-0 by Leganes away in their previous league game which was played on December 22.
The defeat extended Espanyol's winless to eight matches in the league having recorded six defeats and two draws.
They are also winless in their last nine home matches in the league having registered two draws and seven defeats.
Espanyol will be looking to snap their winless run when they take on their city rivals Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Barcelona defeated Deportivo Alaves 4-1 at home in their previous league game which was played on December 21.
Barca are now undefeated in their last seven league matches having registered five wins and two draws.
They are also unbeaten in their last three league matches on the road in the league having recorded one draw and two victories.

Luis Suarez, the Barcelona striker, is expecting a difficult match against a struggling Espanyol side.
"The derbies are always difficult. You have to be very careful. Espanyol are in a delicate situation and with the level of players that they have," Suarez said.
"They don't deserve to be where they are now. It's a beautiful game and we all like to play it."
The last league meeting between Sociedad and Barcelona was on the 30th of March 2019.
Barca ran out 2-0 winners in a match which was played at Camp Nou.
