Ghana will be targeting nothing but a win in their first 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group F match which is against Benin on Tuesday, June 25.
The encounter is scheduled to be played at the Ismailia Stadium. Kick-off is at 20h00.
The two teams have clashed 17 times with Ghana recording 11 wins compared to Benin's three victories, while three games ended in a draw.
Benin secured a 1-0 win over Ghana in their last competitive meeting in the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
Midfielder-cum-striker Andre Ayew has been appointed new Ghana captain ahead of this year's AFCON finals.
The Swansea City player will be eager to lead the Black Stars to victory in his first competitive game as team captain.

The Black Stars are under the guidance of local tactician Kwesi Appiah, who is hoping to deliver Ghana's first continental title since 1982.
The first game of the day will be between
Cameroon and Guinea-Bissau in a Group F clash at the Ismailia Stadium. Kick-off is at 17h00.
Cameroon's Indomitable Lions are the defending champions and they are looking to start their title defence with a victory.
