Cognizant Classic, which is the ninth event on the 2025 PGA Tour schedule, will be played in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, USA between 27 February and 2 March.
What to know about the tournament
This tournament was founded in 1972 as "Jackie Gleason's Inverrary Classic" and before a schedule change in 2021, this was frequently the first of the Florida events in late winter following the "West Coast Swing."
In late 2023, Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation which is an Indian-American multinational IT consulting and outsourcing company, became the new title sponsor, and the event's name was changed.

The 144-player field is officially set for the 2025 Cognizant Classic with 16 of the top 50 players in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) committed and boasts 62 PGA Tour winners combining for 170 Tour titles.
Tournament organisers, International Management Group, have announced that seven players have accepted sponsor exemptions into the 2025 Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches including the No. 1 amateur in the world Luke Clanton.

Headlining the 2025 Cognizant Classic field are World No. 17 Russell Henley, World No. 18 Sepp Straka, 6-time PGA Tour winner Rickie Fowler and defending champion, Austin Eckroat.
In addition to Eckroat, the long-standing event will feature nine other past champions including Chris Kirk (2023), Straka (2022), Sungjae Im (2020), Keith Mitchell (2019), Fowler (2017), Henley (2014), Camilo Villegas (2010), Luke Donald (2006) and Matt Kuchar (2002).
What Is At Stake
The Cognizant Classic will see golfers compete for a share of the $9,2 million purse, with the 2025 champion receiving a check of $1,656 million.
The winner of this event will also receive 500 FedEx Cup points, a yet-to-be-determined amount of OWGR points, and a trophy made up of glass.
