Phoenix Suns v Milwaukee Bucks

2021-22 NBA Regular Season

Friday 11 February 2022

Footprint Center, Phoenix, Arizona

Tip-off at 03:00

The Phoenix Suns and the Milwaukee Bucks will meet for the first time since the 2021 NBA Finals, as they clash in a Regular Season game at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona on the morning of Friday 11 February 2022. Tip-off is at 03:00.

The Suns have enjoyed another excellent campaign in the Regular Season and look on course to challenge for the Championship again. One of the keys to their success has been the fact that they provide a threat from so many different areas, with Devin Booker, Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton and Mikal Bridges all bringing a different element to their offence.

"What helps us is we just have a complete team," Paul said. "You can't key in on one or two guys. If people try to do that with me or Booker, Mikal can get hot. That's what makes us good. On any given night, anybody can get going."

Booker added, "This league is not simple. Guarding Kyrie [Irving] 1-on-1 is not simple. So it's something you have to lock into. It takes a lot of hard work and effort. But having those experiences that we've had together, it helps a lot."

The Bucks have not been as dominant in the Eastern Conference as the Suns have in the West, but Milwaukee nonetheless remains a potent force – especially with Giannis Antetokounmpo driving them forward.

"We have to realise that in order for us to be great, we've got to play hard. We cannot expect that people are just going to hand us the game when we go out there," Antetokounmpo said. "People are coming for us. People are hunting us right now. They get excited when they see, ‘Milwaukee Bucks, world champs.' We've got to play every single night hard and build that habit."

In head-to-head stats, the Suns and the Bucks have met in 146 Regular Season games since 1968-69, with Phoenix claiming 75 wins compared to 71 for Milwaukee. The teams’ last Regular Season meeting was in April 2021, with the Suns winning 128-127 after overtime, thanks to 24 points from Devin Booker.
