2022 Phoenix Open takes centre stage

The 2022 Phoenix Open is scheduled to be played at the TPC Scottsdale - Stadium Course In Arizona, the USA between 10 and 13 February. 
 
This year's edition will mark the 87th playing of the event (one of the five oldest events on the PGA Tour) and the 12th as the Waste Management Phoenix Open for sponsorship reasons.
 
The event's relaxed atmosphere, raucous by the standards of professional golf, has earned it the nickname 'The Greatest Show on Grass.'

Brooks Koepka is the defending champion having won the Phoenix Open trophy last year as he erased a five-shot deficit to claim the title.
 
This year's field is shaping up to be one of the strongest in tournament history with some top players and recent PGA tournament winners set to take part in The Greatest Show on Grass. 
 
Hideki Matsuyama, Louis Oosthuizen, Harris English, Hudson Swafford and Luke List are among the most recent players to commit to playing in the event.
 
The field includes six players ranked in the Top-10, 14 of the Top-20 and half of the Top-50 in the Official World Golf Rankings.

Arnold Palmer is the most successful golfer in the history of the Phoenix Open having won the tournament a record three times.
