The Hammers have been in superb form of late and head into matchday 25 having won six of their last eight league matches following a 3-0 victory over Sheffield United on Monday evening.
It has been a complete turnaround for the London club following their struggles last season. West Ham sit in fifth spot, level on 42 points with Chelsea and six points ahead of ninth-placed Spurs.
"It's great because this time last year it was how can we avoid relegation?" West Ham United manager David Moyes said following their most recent win.
"I don't want to say no, we can't finish in the top four but I don't want to say yes we can and set myself up. I want to be ambitious.
"I don't think we're going to get relegated with our points total, but I'm certainly not going to make a stupid statement saying something I can't reach."
Spurs slumped to a fourth defeat in five matches, going down 3-0 away to league leaders Manchester City last time out. In contrast to West Ham, Tottenham have seen their campaign derailed by a poor run of form.

The two teams played to a thrilling 3-3 draw at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the reverse fixture this season. Spurs were 3-0 up and cruising after just 16 minutes in North London with goals from Son Heung-min and Harry Kane (two), but the Hammers sparked a dramatic comeback to earn a point away to their crosstown rivals.
Fabian Balbuena scored West Ham's first in the 82nd minute and a Davinson Sanchez own goal three minutes later made it a one goal game, before a stoppage-time screamer from Manuel Lanzini earned the visitors a point.
